  • Objectives: Naming and reasoning skills.
  • Ability Level: Mid to high.
  • Description: The object is to determine the identity of a concealed word. Up to five semantic features are available to the client as clues to the identity of the concealed word. The five semantic features are (1) category, (2) function, (3) location, (4) size, shape or color, and (5) one other prominent feature of the word. The program starts by presenting the category of the concealed word. Up to four additional semantic clues can be requested. The sixth clue is the first letter of the word and the seventh clue is the word presented with two other words in a multiple-choice paradigm. For each incorrect response, a new clue is provided. Clients try to determine the concealed word with as few clues as possible. The program includes on-screen help and the option to change the screen colors to suit the user's taste.
  • Features: To adjust the difficulty of each lesson, you can configure the program to accept approximate spellings and display the word length of the concealed word.
